Male 33 presented with what typically looked like male pattern hair thinning, with visible receding hairline at front, recessions and thinning at the crown. Microscopic diagnosis showed it was not just male pattern hair thinning but also 50% of the general hair read through the terminal area, was not growing to its genetic hair type and had thinned. When this was found the client agreed even the hair at the back of his head had changed.
Trichology consultation uncovered a history of medications as a child. There were no current medications, but we could see cellular damage resulting in hair thinning. This is not bad news as we can fix this and then have better cellular health to treat the male pattern hair thinning. Bloods were also checked, and we found a few concerns but had overall good health to work with now.
