Radical Metabolism by Ann Louise Gittleman Book Review with Absolique Trichologist
As Absolique Trichologist I find the title of this book not reflective of what drew me to the writer or subject of bile, and the authors tag line, ‘bile is beautiful’ and under rated in the whole picture of health. I first heard Ann Louise interviewed in an online summit and was gripped by her every word explaining the importance of bile to overall health, metabolism, digestion, absorption and detoxifying, and weight loss. She explained bile is the missing link and just as important as our microbiome.
Benefits of healthy bile go a long way for overall health and there are simple ways to help your body produce good clean bile even if you don’t have a gallbladder. As the author states, there is no reason to remove the gallbladder if you can clean up the bile. Even in the scenario there may be gallstones, cleaning up your bile can help to address any symptoms and prevent surgery in mild cases.
Radical Metabolism by Ann Louise Gittleman Book Review with Absolique Trichologist:
- Discover forbidden fats and forgotten flavours, fat busting beverages to supercharge metabolism
- Get greater energy, balanced mood, healthier skin, protection against autoimmunity and gallbladder issues
- 4-day radical cleanse or maintenance plan to teach you the foods to eat for results and recipes
My biggest take from this book was to bring back the bitters. You may remember Swedish bitters, these are not recommended for the laxative containing ingredients, but more bitter foods. Bitter foods help bile production and are also great fibre. Bitter foods include alfalfa, asparagus, artichokes, lemon and lemon rind, red leaf lettuce and lettuce. Herbs include chamomile, cinnamon, fennel, milk thistle and sorrel. Others are aloe vera, coffee and seaweed.
The right type of fats is also important and explained in detail of what to include and what to avoid. Fats to use are seeds and cold pressed seed oils, with the number one here hempseed, hemp hearts and trusted hemp seed oil. Raw sunflower seeds and high linoleic sunflower oil, sesame seeds and sesame oil, flaxseeds and high lignan flaxseed oil, chia seed, pumpkin seed and pumpkin seed oil, black cumin seeds and the oil , raw nuts, nut oils and butters, avocados and avocado oil, coconut oils and products and more and also MCT oil.
This book is loaded with information that I find myself referring to as it gives you all you need to include and avoid as well as some great detox plans and recipes. I would suggest you take what you need form the book as you can go in and do a good cleanse or simply include the good bitters and good oils into your daily lifestyle to feel the benefits. A simple place to start is add in the lemon juice to your morning regime, include lemon rind in your dressing and marinades and get into the apple cider vinegar and a pre-digestive, marinade or dressing on your foods. These simple steps will get your bile and HCL flowing! This book is a keeper so put it on your list. http://radicalmetabolism.com/ For more information about Absolique Trichologist, hair loss treatments and scalp conditions help, email and find loads more information on our website at https://www.hair-loss-treatments.com.au/
